Angkor Wat is a majestic temple complex located in Cambodia. Built in the 12th century, it is one of the most significant architectural marvels of the Khmer Empire. Angkor Wat's intricate design and grandeur reflect the mastery of ancient Khmer architecture and the influence of Hindu and Buddhist beliefs.

This UNESCO World Heritage site spans over 400 acres and comprises various structures, including five impressive towers symbolizing the peaks of Mount Meru, the mythical abode of Hindu gods. Intricate bas-reliefs depict scenes from ancient epics and historical events, offering a glimpse into the rich cultural and religious traditions of the Khmer people.

Angkor Wat's central sanctuary houses a massive stone carving of Vishnu, a Hindu deity. The temple's layout aligns with astronomical phenomena, such as the equinoxes and solstices, showcasing the Khmer's deep understanding of celestial movements.

Today, Angkor Wat attracts millions of visitors annually, who come to marvel at its awe-inspiring architecture, explore the vast temple complex, and witness breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. It stands as a testament to Cambodia's rich heritage and continues to be a symbol of national pride.
