let's start ...
So today we will talk about EASTER ISLANDEaster Island, also known as Rapa Nui, is a remote island located in the southeastern Pacific Ocean. It is famous for its massive stone statues called moai, which were created by the indigenous Polynesian people who settled on the island around the 13th century.
The moai are colossal human figures carved from volcanic rock, representing ancestors or powerful leaders. They can reach heights of up to 30 feet and weigh several tons. The mystery of how the Rapa Nui people transported and erected these statues remains a subject of debate among archaeologists and historians.
Easter Island's isolation and unique ecosystem led to the development of a distinct culture. The island's inhabitants relied heavily on limited resources, primarily relying on agriculture and fishing. However, deforestation and environmental degradation contributed to the collapse of the civilization, resulting in social and ecological challenges.
Today, Easter Island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, attracting visitors from around the world. Efforts are being made to preserve the island's cultural heritage and restore the damaged ecosystem. The moai statues continue to captivate the imagination, serving as a reminder of the island's intriguing history and the need for sustainable practices to ensure its long-term survival.
Thank you😍...........
