                                        So today we will talk about LESHAN GIANT BUDDHA

The Leshan Giant Buddha is a colossal statue located in Leshan City, Sichuan Province, China. Carved out of a cliff face, this magnificent sculpture stands at approximately 71 meters (233 feet) tall, making it the largest stone Buddha statue in the world. It was constructed during the Tang Dynasty, between the 8th and 9th centuries, and took over 90 years to complete.

The Leshan Giant Buddha is an impressive representation of Maitreya, the future Buddha, and is considered a symbol of peace and enlightenment. It showcases exquisite craftsmanship, with intricate details like the Buddha's flowing robes, hands, and serene expression. The statue's construction aimed to calm the turbulent waters of the Minjiang River, which posed a threat to passing boats.

Visitors can explore the surrounding area and climb up to the statue's head for a panoramic view of the river and the lush landscape. The site has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, attracting tourists and pilgrims from around the world who come to admire its beauty and cultural significance.
