                            So today we will talk about NEW AND OLD TOWNS OF EDINBURGH.

Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland, is renowned for its rich history and architectural beauty. The city is divided into two main sections: the Old Town and the New Town, each offering a distinct experience.

The Old Town, with its narrow, winding streets and medieval layout, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dominated by the iconic Edinburgh Castle, perched atop an ancient volcanic rock, the Old Town showcases centuries of history. The Royal Mile, a famous street that connects the castle to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, is lined with historic buildings, quaint shops, and traditional pubs. Here, visitors can explore landmarks like St Giles' Cathedral, the Real Mary King's Close, and the vibrant Grass market.

In contrast, the New Town, although dating back to the 18th century, represents a more orderly and elegant urban design. This area features neoclassical and Georgian architecture, wide streets, and beautiful squares. Princes Street is the main thoroughfare, lined with high-end shops, department stores, and hotels. The New Town is also home to impressive landmarks such as the Scottish National Gallery, Charlotte Square, and the Scott Monument.

Both the Old Town and the New Town are united by the beautiful Princes Street Gardens, which provide a green oasis in the heart of the city. Edinburgh's unique combination of old and new, historic charm and modern amenities, make it a captivating destination for visitors from around the world.
