let's start...

So today we will talk about OLD WALLED CITY OF SHIBAM

The Old Walled City of Shibam, located in Yemen, is a remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site that showcases the architectural wonders of ancient civilization. Often referred to as "the Manhattan of the Desert," Shibam is renowned for its towering mud-brick skyscrapers that have dominated the cityscape for centuries.

Dating back over 1,500 years, Shibam's unique architectural style is a testament to the ingenuity of its inhabitants. The buildings, some reaching up to eight stories high, are constructed entirely out of mud bricks, which provide natural insulation against the harsh desert climate. The walls of the city were built to protect its residents from external threats, creating a fortified oasis within the arid landscape.

Walking through the narrow, labyrinthine streets of Shibam feels like stepping back in time. The city's urban planning is carefully designed to maximize space and create a sense of community. The ground floors of the buildings are typically occupied by shops and markets, while the upper levels serve as living spaces.

The Old Walled City of Shibam stands as a testament to the resilience of its people and their ability to adapt to their environment. It serves as a living museum of Yemen's rich cultural heritage and a reminder of the importance of preserving our architectural treasures. Despite facing challenges such as natural decay and urbanization, Shibam's unique skyline continues to captivate visitors from around the world, offering a glimpse into the past and a tribute to human creativity.

Thank you😍...................
